Welcome

Welcome to the First Friends parents' page, packed with ideas to help you support your child's learning.

Activity 1: Find and bring

Give your child instructions to find and bring you (or touch) different objects, or things of different colours.

For example:
'Please bring me a doll' or 'Find something green'

Activity 2: True or false

Using the book, point to a picture and say confidently 'It's a train!' (While pointing to something different)

Hopefully your child will say 'No!' Continue making other false statements, and then say a true statement. Vary the number of false statements each time.

Activity 3: What am I thinking of?

This game can be played with any page from the book with a number of pictures. Choose one of the picture on the page. Pointing to your head ask, 'Which picture am I thinking of?'. Encourage your child to guess. Then change roles.
